Tip of the Week – Improve Your Salesforce Implementation with Optimizer

Would you like to have a product that can review and evaluate your Salesforce Implementation and then give you customized recommendations for how to improve? Silly question, right? Who wouldn’t want that. Well that product does exist, and it’s built right into Salesforce. Meet, the Salesforce Optimizer.

If you are a Salesforce Vet, you have probably run across this new feature already, but if it’s new to you, today is your lucky day. Not only does the Optimizer automatically evaluate your org to improve features, clean up customizations, reduce complexity, and drive feature adoption, but it can also be used in sandbox to help flag improvements prior to deployments.

Tip of the Week – Use Custom Buttons to Save Your Sales Team Time

Tip of the Week – Use Custom Buttons to Save Your Sales Team Time

Speed and efficiency are essential for just about everyone using Salesforce. Whether you are pursuing a new sale or just trying to get back to a client, you need to move quickly and not get bogged down with multiple records and manually populating fields. Keeping logs of calls is a common practice that, while important for metrics and historical knowledge, can be a little inefficient. However, we have a solution for that! All you have to do is use the following URL hack as an example to create a custom button that will automatically create a “Left Message” task record with the information you need pre-populated.

/00T/e?followup=1&title=Call&retURL=%2F{!Lead.Id}&who_id={!Lead.Id}&what_id={!Lead.Id}&tsk5=Left+VoiceMail&tsk6=Left+a+voicemail+for+{!Lead.Name}&tsk5_fu=FU+VM+w+{!Lead.Name}+from+{!Lead.Company}&tsk4_fu={!TODAY()+2}

For a step by step guide on creating custom buttons using URL hacks, click here! Just follow those steps, using the new code above and streamline your process!

Tip of the Week – LiveMessage connects Salesforce, SMS, Facebook Messenger, and more

Tip of the Week – LiveMessage connects Salesforce, SMS, Facebook Messenger, and more

Two months ago, just before Dreamforce ’16, we shared with you a powerful SMS application called HeyWire. With all the news about new Salesforce acquisitions (9 so far in 2016, if my count is right), we missed that Salesforce bought HeyWire just before that post. At Dreamforce, Salesforce announced that HeyWire is now LiveMessage, and it’s getting some awesome new features.

LiveMessage is currently in beta, and is set to hit full release this winter. On top of the already powerful SMS integration, LiveMessage will also include integrations with Facebook Messenger and other chat tools, allowing businesses to connect with customers wherever they’re already chatting. What’s more, it is fully integrated with the Lightning Console, Sales and Marketing ready, and powered by Salesforce Einstein, making this tool a must for every business! Watch the demo below and keep an eye out for more in the coming months!

App of the Week – G-Connector is your new favorite Salesforce multi-tool

App of the Week – G-Connector is your new favorite Salesforce multi-tool

Working with data can be a tricky business requiring multiple tools and tedious hours of work. Say you have a group of team members who don’t (and shouldn’t) have access to Salesforce, but need to work with a list of customers and keep that list up to date. You’ll need Reports to export the data, you’ll send it out to your team, you’ll collect their updates and carefully merge their changes, convert to CSV and update Salesforce using the Data Loader. Wouldn’t it be nice if this could all be done automatically on one platform with your team working collaboratively? It can with G-Connector for Salesforce!

Save big on Salesforce licenses by providing your users with real-time view into Salesforce data by scheduling automatic refreshes of the previously pulled data and sharing the spreadsheet. You will also save a lot of time by doing Salesforce data loads, queries, mass updates and insert not from Salesforce, but directly from your Google Spreadsheets.

This awesome app had my office buzzing. Download this free Google Chrome extension and start saving time today!

Tip of the Week – Integrate Salesforce with all your business tools

Tip of the Week – Integrate Salesforce with all your business tools

One of the most underutilized features of Salesforce is its ease of integration. If you’ve been a Salesforce customer for a while, you’re probably leveraging simple integrations with tools like Conga and DocuSign to streamline document generation and get back signatures at a rapid pace. You may also be integrated with a CTI tool to connect Salesforce data with your phone bank. But Salesforce can do so much more!

If your business needs to pull credit or research companies and individuals for crediting decisions, identity verification, or any other reason, there’s some fantastic tools on the AppExchange like LASER Credit, Experian FusionIQ, and LexisNexis for Salesforce. You can integrate with eFax solutions to get docs out fast without ever having to print or leave your desk. SMS integrations let you easily send text messages to customers and prospects and log those communications within the system. If you have an in-house dev team or a trusted Salesforce partner at your disposal, you can integrate with nearly any tool with available APIs surprisingly easily within the Salesforce platform. And if you want to get really creative but don’t have the resources at your disposal to build that crazy, custom integration, like with an internal database, powerful middleware tools like Jitterbit are available to make your integration dreams come true! If you’re spending too much time in external systems and 3rd party portals, it’s time to integrate! So hop on the AppExchange or contact us today.
