Announcing the CloudMyBiz Service Desk

As CloudMyBiz continues to grow, so are our processes. That is why we just launched our new CloudMyBiz Service Desk. The Service Desk is an easy to use customer portal that allows you to log tickets for any and all sorts of requests, from maintenance issues to new functionality ideas.

Once you have completed the form for your request, the ticket will then be logged to our internal system, and promptly reviewed by our support team. The new ticketing system means you no longer have to send emails to request fixes or improvements, plus you can monitor and review the status right in the portal.

Based on the submission, our support team will then write up a formal work ticket and assign it to an internal resource based on the project, need and bandwidth. You will be sent notifications along to way to keep you in the loop.

So, how does this benefit you?

  • Instant notification that we’ve received your request
  • Improved communication with your Business Analyst
  • You get eyes on your ticket right away
  • Your ticket gets prioritized, quickly
  • Improved response time

So, how do I access the Customer Service Desk?

  • You can click the button on the Cloudmybiz.com website homepage or follow this link to the Service Desk portal, fill out your form (only a handful of questions), and then you’ll receive a notification.
  • You’ll need to have access to Jira.
    • If you don’t have access to Jira, please contact your BA and let know that you need access. Otherwise, you won’t be able to submit a ticket.
    • We’re requiring all clients to have a Jira log in starting 12/15/2019.

What if I have more questions?

  • Not to worry, we’ll communicate with you throughout the onboarding process. We’ll also provide you a quick and easy user manual to help you through the process, in case you ever get stuck.
  • Talk to your Business Analyst. Your Business Analyst can provide a walk-through of the tool if you’d like.

Thank you so much for being a part of the CloudMyBiz family.

Salesforce Certification Maintenance Now on Trailhead

Salesforce Certification Maintenance Now on Trailhead

With the December 14th deadline for Salesforce Certification Maintenance tests very, very near, it is worth discussing the recent changes to the maintenance test. Specifically, that the tests have moved over to Salesforce Trailhead!

First though, for those who aren’t familiar, Salesforce Certifications (for Administrators, Developers, etc.) require users to pass regular exams to keep the certification from expiring. This helps ensure everyone with a Salesforce Certification keeps up with the latest updates and changes to the platform.

Salesforce Trailhead, again for those who aren’t familiar, is a free and easy way to learn the basics of Salesforce and more. These interactive e-learning modules cover a huge range of topics, from Salesforce development to email marketing to the basic of blockchain! What’s more, you can pick and choose from any number of these modules to customize your own learning “trail”.

So back to the Salesforce Certification Maintenance – the process up until this past summer was for users to go to the Webassessor site to take their certification exam. However, at TrailheadDX earlier in the year, it was announced that all certification tests would slowly be migrating to the Trailhead platform, with the goal of having all tests hosted there by January 2019. At CloudMyBiz, our team of Certified Specialists is quite happy to see this switch and look forward to seeing all of the tests on Trailhead. As of now, the Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I and Marketing Cloud Email and Social Specialist tests have migrated to Trailhead.

Why the change? Well for one, it allows users to keep all of their learning, credentials and testing in one place. Users can log in to one central platform, go through the Trailhead module with images, videos, and examples, with a standard Trailhead quiz at the end. Boom, the certification is renewed! Not only is this faster but it is also a better process for us to continue our learning and growth with Salesforce.

Finally, for those who haven’t gotten around to taking advantage of the switch, there are a few things to know. You need to first link your Webassessor account with your Trailhead account. Here is a little info on how to link these accounts, if you haven’t done so already. That way any previous certifications you have won’t be lost.

With all that in mind, Happy Trailblazing

Tip of the Week – Using Salesforce Trust Notifications to Your Advantage

Tip of the Week – Using Salesforce Trust Notifications to Your Advantage

For any veteran users of Salesforce, you have probably experienced the frustration of unexpected system maintenance, or performance degradation. It slows you down and all you can do is wait until Salesforce gets things fixed up. This is where the Salesforce Trust Status page comes in.

The status page tracks and displays upcoming maintenance or any current issues for Salesforce instances. Even better, you can have these events sent to you as Trust Notifications, which are near real-time email notifications that are triggered by updates to an instance’s availability on the Trust Status page. You can customize exactly which Salesforce Apps or Instances you are interested in, and Salesforce will do the rest.
