Have you heard about Salesforce DX? It is a new Salesforce Development paradigm that was released in Beta as part of the Summer ‘17 release. As of right now, it isn’t available as a full, general release. Although there currently isn’t a schedule for a general release, read on for a quick preview of how Salesforce DX could change the entire development process on Salesforce.
The Salesforce Developer Experience (DX) introduces a new development paradigm that shifts from the traditional system of org based development, where a Salesforce org is the source of truth, to a modern one based around metadata and source control. This change in process is designed to improve quality and time to market through continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD), and even make a more flexible, powerful release process. It could be a real game changer for Salesforce development!
