Tip of the Week – How to Enable Delegated Administrators

Tip of the Week – How to Enable Delegated Administrators

Administrator roles and privileges can vary widely from job to job and company to company. This is why Salesforce has created delegated administrators, which are user profiles who have limited admin privileges assigned to them. For example, you can assign admin privileges to the Development Lead to monitor and oversee the Development team.

Not only can you spread out the administrative tasks to streamline and organize processes, but you can create specific roles and responsibilities for different members of your team. To take it a step further, you can even create groups of delegated administrators, who all have the same admin privileges, making it easy to build a team with oversight and accountability. App of the Week – Create Bookmarks with My Favorites

Everyone knows the every day experience of sitting down at your desk, logging in and going back to the same old couple of pages that you use every day. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes a couple minutes and a few different screens to navigate to exactly where you need to be to get yourself going. That is the exact problem that My Favorites aims to solve. By allowing users to bookmark Salesforce pages or items, like dashboards or list views, you will be able to create all kinds of shortcuts to help you navigate through your day-to-day.

My Favorites allows any users (admins, developers, managers, end users, or executives) to store their frequently accesses pages (a couple of dashboards, couple of apps, few list views, couple standard objects or custom objects) as their favorites links to access them later with just One-Click & more
